PROGRAM GOAL
Our primary method of recruiting new lawyers historically has been through our Summer Associate Program. Our Summer Associate Program is typically divided into two, six-week periods, beginning at the end of May and ending in mid-August. We offer summer associate positions to select law students who posses superior intellectual abilities, share our firm vision and values, and have the ability and potential to become shareholders in our firm. To illustrate the success of our program, as of February, 2007, 11 of our shareholders and 4 of our associates participated in our Summer Associate Program.

ASSIGNMENTS
The Summer Associate Program is designed to provide a realistic view of what it is like to be an associate with our firm, while also giving you an opportunity to gain experience in the practice of law. You typically will receive assignments from attorneys in all of our firm's practice areas. We hope that this exposure will help you identify your desired area of practice. If you have an area of particular interest, we will try to schedule more time with the attorneys in that practice group, however we encourage you to work in all parts of the firm so that you gain a broader experience while at Oppenheimer Blend.

MENTORS
Each Summer Associate is matched with a shareholder and associate mentor who will provide insight and advice about the firm, along with guidance on performing work assignments. These mentors will be your day-to-day contacts throughout your summer internship.

TRAINING
Our Summer Associate program allows you the opportunity to work on assignments that are comparable to those of a junior associate. In addition to doing legal research, you will draft documents, interact with clients and opposing counsel, and attend trials, depositions, client conferences, court hearings, transaction closings and client and community events. This will help you to develop an understanding of what it is like to be an attorney.

SOCIAL EVENTS
We plan a number of social activities for our Summer Associates, such as firm-wide parties and informal gatherings after-work. These events give you a chance to socialize with our attorneys in a relaxed setting, and also help you and our other summer associates get to know each other better.

FEEDBACK
Our Director of Attorney Personnel, Jerry Cohen (jcohen@obht.com), is responsible for assigning work and helping with any uncertainties you may encounter. Careful attention is paid to your progress as a summer associate, and every opportunity is given to help you achieve professional growth. Each attorney who assigns tasks to you will provide a thorough evaluation of your performance. This feedback is critical to the development of your skills, and without it, your training is incomplete.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Our Summer Associates weekly salary in 2008 will be $1,850 per week.
