Elsa and Otto Garza - Outstanding Leaders in Catholic Education

Dedication, commitment, and service - words which describe our own Elsa Marie Garza and her husband Otto.  Their passion for a Catholic, quality education has earned them the Catholic Schools’ Archdiocese of San Antonio 2010 Outstanding Leaders in Catholic Education Award.  They will be honored for their award on Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Omni Hotel located in San Antonio.

For over 30 years, Elsa and Otto have been involved in Catholic education, beginning with teaching CCD during their teens, and later doing anything and everything to better their community through their children’s schools.  Their desire has been to ensure their children are prepared for more than a career; they want them prepared to lead a “God centered life.”

The award is eligible to be given to individuals with five or more years of direct involvement with Catholic school education who exemplify spiritual growth and moral leadership, commitment to a Catholic education by the way he/she leads, serves, and energizes others, and those who implement new ideas, programs, events and fundraising endeavors.

The Providence Parent Club and administrators from Providence Catholic School and Central Catholic High School consider their schools to be better places due to the Garza’s generosity.

We at OBHT are proud to have Elsa as one of our team members as a Paralegal in the Litigation Practice Group, where she demonstrates the same commitment and dedication to her career as she does to her community.

Congratulations to Elsa and Otto Garza!
