Lindsay's practice is focused on international and domestic planning and tax matters.  He advises individuals, businesses, and financial services institutions on both domestic and international planning matters.

Some of his representative experience includes:

  • Designing cross-border and domestic tax and wealth transfer plans.
  • Structuring and implementing business succession plans.
  • Advising individual and corporate fiduciaries on risk analysis, fiduciary duties, litigation and tax issues, both domestic and international.
  • Creating policies and procedures for trust departments and financial institutions.
  • Preparation of estate tax returns for both domestic and international clients.
  • Obtaining favorable Private Letter Rulings from the Internal Revenue Service for individuals and institutions.
  • Guiding executors and beneficiaries through the process of estate administration, asset transfers, and estate taxation.
  • Preparing pre- and post-marital property agreements addressing community and separate property issues and potential claims.
  • Facilitating lifetime and testamentary charitable giving.

Lindsay is Adjunct Professor of International Tax Law at St. Mary's Law School, and is a frequent speaker at tax institute seminars and other continuing professional education seminars for attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals.  Some representative topics include international taxation, the current status of transfer tax laws, planning for Mexican nationals, and business succession strategies.

He has been featured in the San Antonio Business Journal, The San Antonio Express News, "Texas Week with Rick Casey" on KLRN television, and he is a frequent commentator on WOAI radio and National Public Radio.
