Jerry’s corporate and business practice focuses on the representation of individual entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, partnerships, and publicly and privately held corporations, including Fortune 500 corporations. He represents his corporate and business clients in a wide range of areas including the formation of business organizations, organization planning, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, internal reorganizations and restructuring, the private placement of securities, and general corporate representation.

Jerry’s health care practice focuses on the representation of physicians, physician groups, hospitals and hospital systems, durable medical equipment manufacturers and suppliers, integrated provider networks and ancillary health care facilities and providers in the business and regulatory aspects of health care law. He represents his health care clients in a wide range of areas, including the formation of physician group practices; the formation of integrated delivery systems; the formation and capitalization of diagnostic imaging and other ancillary services ventures; the purchase and sale of private medical practices; and the negotiation and review of managed care contracts. He also represents his health care clients in the regulatory aspects of health care law, including Medicare fraud and abuse compliance.

Jerry’s civic activities include volunteering his time as a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance, the federally-designated Organ Procurement Organization for most of South and Central Texas. Jerry also is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Barshop Jewish Community Center of San Antonio and is the current president of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community, where he previously has served as vice president, treasurer and as a member of the Board of Directors.
