Doug is the firm’s Litigation Practice Group Leader. He has over 20 years of trial and litigation experience in a myriad of substantive law areas. These include handling numerous complex business, real estate and probate litigation matters; representing management in employment-related litigation before the EEOC and in various state and federal courts; representing corporate defendants in personal injury litigation; handling complex trademark, trade name and copyright litigation; and representing various professionals in malpractice claims before the appropriate administrative agencies and in the courts.

Doug has also handled numerous appellate matters in both state and federal appellate courts. Some of his more recent representations include:

• Representing the former wife and principal beneficiary of the estate of the former CEO and Chairman of the Board of a Fortune 100 Company in a major breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit involving the laws of Texas, California, Michigan, Switzerland and Spain
• Representing the estate of a celebrity Tejano singer, who was tragically slain, against numerous individual and corporate defendants who were illegally profiting on the decedent’s name and likeness
• Representing a South Texas Petroleum Engineering Company in a multi-party oil and gas fraud case involving allegations of third party theft, deceit and homicide.
