OUR MILESTONES

1969 - Jesse H. Oppenheimer establishes Oppenheimer & Rosenberg based on a desire to build a law firm with high ethical standards comprised of attorneys who specialize in certain areas of law, instead of general law practitioners.
1971 - Southwest Airlines sets off on its maiden flight after being formed by Rollin King, along with Herb Kelleher, a principal with Oppenheimer, Rosenberg & Kelleher, Inc. The firm works to successfully overcome legal obstacles which might have prohibited the formation of the airline.
1982 - The firm assists the developers of the Encino Park subdivision with a master plan to acquire land and build a utilities infrastructure to support the city's largest residential project.
1985 - The firm negotiates a land deal with the City of San Antonio and helps The Hyatt Corporation gain approval to construct the Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the River Walk.
1988 - Sea World of San Antonio opens its doors following the firm's representation of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in the land acquisition and construction of the theme park.
1990 - During the first Gulf War, the firm shows its support for our nation by establishing Operation Desert LAMP, which assists more than 400 of our troops by providing free estate planning services to soldiers serving in Operation Desert Storm.
1992 - The Bexar County Courthouse dedicates its mock trial room to Jesse H. Oppenheimer, the firm's founder, for his continued dedication to the city's legal community.
1995 - Retama Park opens for live and simulcast racing following the firm's representation of the developers that built the City's first-ever horse and greyhound race track.
2001 - The firm collectively represents the cardiology and physician groups responsible for forming the TexSAn Heart Hospital, a hospital devoted to fighting heart disease.
2007 - Stanley L. Blend is selected as the Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation. He is the first San Antonio attorney – and one of only five from Texas in nearly 70 years – to hold the position.
2009 - The firm's founder, Jesse H. Oppenheimer, passes away at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten.
